Below you will find a detailed itinerary of what you can expect to see and do during the Dragon*Con Odyssey trip!

Sydney

Day 0
Wednesday 7 August 2013
For those who choose the Bon Voyage Package…
Arrive at the hotel in Sydney, for the welcome/get to know you evening function.

Day 1
Thursday 8 August 2013
Bon Voyagers start with breakfast at the hotel, before checking out and grabbing a shuttle to the airport.

If you don’t go for the Bon Voyage Package, we’ll meet you at the airport! And then everyone will fly to LA.

Auckland

Arrive at the hotel in Auckland, for the welcome/get to know you evening function.

Los Angeles

Thursday 8 August 2013
On arrival, we take a shuttle to the hotel in Hollywood and check in. Once we’re settled in, it’s time for dinner at a Hollywood classic, Mel's Diner.

Day 2
Friday 9 August 2013
In the morning, we head to Paramount Studios for a behind the scenes tour, followed by shopping at Hollywood hot spot, The Grove. We round out the day with dinner at the heavenly In-N-Out Burger.

Day 3
Saturday 10 August 2013
Saturday presents a choice of shore leave options: choose from awesome Universal Studios, fascinating San Diego Sea World, thrilling Knott’s Berry Farm, or just take it easy or see some of LA at your own pace with free time.

Day 4
Sunday 11 August 2013
Sunday is also a shore leave day. Your first choice is to travel through LA with a Starline Stars Home Tour, then get up close and personal at Madame Tussauds. Your second choice is to visit the ancient Le Brea Tar pits, followed by shopping and sightseeing at Hollywood and Highland. And your third choice, as always, is free time.

Monday 12 August 2013
Monday morning we take an early flight to glorious New York City!

On arrival, we check into our hotel in stunning Manhattan, then the rest of the day is all yours.

Day 6
Tuesday 13 August 2013
Tuesday will be a busy one, as we visit the historic Bronx Zoo…

Day 7
Wednesday 14 August 2013
…then on Wednesday, take your time, or power through as you explore the nooks and crannies of Central Park at your leisure.

Day 8
Thursday 15 August 2013
Discover the wonders of the world at the Metropolitan Museum of Natural History; then in the evening, we’ll be taking in one of the awesome Broadway shows (the specific show will be decided closer to the tour dates).

Day 9
Friday 16 August 2013
Another busy one, as we head down to Wall Street, move on to Battery Park, pay our respects at Ground Zero and enjoy the unique view of the Big Apple from the Staten Island Ferry. Then the afternoon will be spent in the artistic neighborhood of Soho.

Day 10
Saturday 17 August 2013
Saturday will be a bit more relaxing, as you get a chance to soak in the beauty of the Guggenheim and the Metropolitan Museum of Art at your own pace.

Day 11
Sunday 18 August 2013
Trawl 5th Avenue like a true New Yorker, then enjoy the stunning views from the Empire State Building, the art deco Chrysler Building and the top of 30 Rockefeller Centre.

Day 12
Monday 19 August 2013
In the morning, we venture out to the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island and visit Ellis Island. In the afternoon, we’ll be taking the short flight to Orlando…

…where we’ll check into one of the Disneyworld hotels. And then the fun really starts, as…

Tuesday 20 August 2013
…you enjoy the classic rides of Disneyworld’s Magic Kingdom at your own pace. As a shore leave option, you can enjoy a character breakfast at Cinderella’s castle.

Day 14

Immerse yourself in the magic of Disneyworld’s MGM Studios at your own pace.

Day 15
Thursday 22 August 2013
Marvel at the world’s cultures, all with the Disney spin, when you see Disneyworld’s Epcot Centre at your own pace.

Day 16
Friday 23 August 2013
Kick back at Typhoon Lagoon, be it on the waterslides, snorkeling at Shark Reef, or floating down Castaway Creek in an inner tube. You’re free to relax at your own pace.

Day 17
Saturday 24 August 2013
Saturday is all about the shore leave again. Choose to take in the one and only Holy Land Experience, or the inspiring Cape Canaveral, or if you need a rest, you can enjoy some free time.

Day 18
Sunday 25 August 2013
Sunday takes us back to Disneyworld. Revel in nature at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at your own pace…

Monday 26 August 2013
…and then you can get your speed freak on at Universal Studios, again at your own pace.

Day 20
Tuesday 27 August 2013
On Tuesday we return for our second day at Universal Studios, including a magical visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (tour at your own pace).

In the middle of the week, our time in Orlando finally comes to a close, as we get knee deep in the swamps at Gatorland, followed by a pit stop at the Belz Factory outlets, and a late afternoon flight to Atlanta…
