Event Report

On the 25th and 26th of November 2008 Hub Productions took Kavan Smith and Gary Jones to Melbourne’s Armageddon Expo. Stargate fans were excited to meet the two. Gary plays Sgt. Walter Harriman on Stargate: SG1 and is famous for his moving renditions of “Chevron 7... Locked” and Kavan is the stoic military man Major Evan Lorne on Stargate: Atlantis.

Both were a big hit at the event, smiling, chatting and laughing with fans as they posed for photos and signed autographs. The dinner went off swimmingly with all in attendance having a wonderful time. Conversations ranged from the intellectual (discussions of psychology at Gary’s table) to the silly (Kavan’s Joe impersonation is hilarious; it’s all about the hair!)

Both were happy to share tales of life as an actor not only at the dinner, but during panels at Armageddon itself. Fans were regaled with stories about life in the Stargate family with the guests taking many questions from the audience.
