Armageddon guests & GTTS DVDs!
Hey Hubsters!
An awesome guest announcement for tonight's news post! We have added the brilliant David Anders (Alias, Heroes, 24 and The Vampire Diaries!) to our lineup for Sydney and Adelaide's Armageddon events! We will of course be hosting a special dinner with David on the Saturday night in each city for those who want to spend some extra quality time with Mr Anders and these can be purchased through our iShop.
Can you tell we're excited? Because we are! These two events are shaping up with lineups to rival those of any event in the world! There are media guests from *takes a deep breath* Stargate, Star Trek, Star Wars, Sanctuary, Heroes, Babylon 5, Xena: Warrior Princess, Indiana Jones, Alias, Elektra, Twilight, Suvivor, Smallville, V, Aliens,Lord of the Rings, Millenium, and Vampire Diaries. Seriously, did I miss anything there? Throw in some awesome names from the worlds of comics, anime, scifi and fantasy writing and just all around geeky goodness like Cosplay, Wrestling, Card tournaments, Workshops and so much more that we just can't think of it all right now, and this is a pop culture extravaganza that you just don't want to miss! Make sure you go here for more information about our guests and special packages and head over to www.Armageddonexpo.com.au for even more event information.
Second bit of news for tonight is that the DVDs from our and Culture Shock's Gate to the Sanctuary event are finally available! In the words of the DVD producers, our friends at Turncoat Studios...
In December 2010 both Stargate and Sanctuary fans alike were treated when The Hub Productions and Culture Shock Events teamed up to bring them Gate to the Sanctuary, an event celebrating one of the most recognised women in science fiction and her co-stars. Hundreds of fans gathered in Melbourne and Sydney to meet lead actress Amanda Tapping (meaning that every member of SG1 visited Australia for The Hub Productions in 2010), her Sanctuary co-star Robin Dunne, along with Stargate Atlantis staple Chuck Campbell and Amanda’s on screen father Carmen Argenziano.
For those wanting to relive this spectacular weekend, or for those who happened to miss it, this souvenir DVD features all Q&As and charity auctions (including The Hub's iconic shirt off the back auctions with Robin Dunne and Amanda Tapping) with all guests. Featuring over 8 hours of content from the weekend, this is not a DVD to be missed.
Proudly presented by The Hub Productions, Culture Shock Events and Turncoat Studios.
To see more convention content from over 10 Stargate actors, also check out The Hub's massive Stargate 2010 DVD.
The DVDs are available in our online store, at http://shop.thehubproductions.com.
Our last item of news tonight isn't quite so exciting but still important none the less! The venues for the Sydney legs of our Hubwarts, Star Trek 2011, Twilight 2011, Soapsational events is now Leighton Hall and you can find more information on this on the relevant event pages by clicking "venue".
Well that's all for now Hubsters! As always, stay tuned to the website, our facebook page and our twitter www.twitter.com/TheHUBBUB for all the latest news and updates!
Cheers!
