Twilight Tour

10th and 11th October Brisbane and Sydney

Christopher Heyerdahl Cameron Bright Tinsel Korey Chaske Spencer

Charlie Bewley John Henson Lee Safar

For one exciting weekend, the Hub Productions had the pleasure to host a full lineup of guests for TwiTour Brisbane and Sydney. We were thrilled to have Christopher Heyerdahl ("Marcus" of the Volturi), Cameron Bright ("Alec" of the Volturi), Tinsel Korey ("Emily" from the wolfpack), Chaske Spencer ("Sam Uley" from the wolfpack), Charlie Bewley ("Demetri" of the Volturi), costumer John Henson and singer/songwriter Lee Safar. What a wonderful group of people!

For the first day of the event, the team was in Brisbane meeting 200+ excited attendees! The day started with a full professional photo session, with Chris making creepy (and funny!) faces in peoples shots, and Charlie pretending to vampire bite people's necks for the cameras. Fantastic fun!

During the day, we had three Q&A sessions. First up was Christopher and Cameron, who had such a great dynamic together on stage. Chris teased Cameron *mercilessly* much to the entertainment of the audience. They told as many non-spoilery stories as they could in their talk (New Moon hadn't come out yet!) Chris told a story about how Robert Pattinson said, after being smashed down on the stairs at his feet, that he liked his slippers. Cameron was really pleased to finally get the opportunity to work with Dakota Fanning, espcially considering they're both about the same age and having been working in the industry for 10 years each.

After a half hour lunchbreak, the second Q&A of the day went on with Chaske Spencer and Tinsel Korey, who play the couple Sam and Emily in New Moon. They really enjoyed working with the wolf pack members, and all got on really well. Chaske and the other wolves had a huge gym routine every week that pushed them all very hard so they were fit and msucled for their roles. Tinsel's favourite scene was the muffin scene, jokingly saying to Chaske 'You better like my muffins!'. They are both Native American and Tinsel visited the tribe at Forks in preparation for her role.

The last Q&A of the day was Charlie Bewley, who played Demetri in the Volturi. Charlie loved his character and wouldn't want to play any other in New Moon. He created his own backstory for his character, highlights of which include his parents living on Mt Vesuvius when he was human, him outrunning the lava flows, being saved by Arrow and getting hired as his tracker. 'Go fetch' as Charlie put it. He was very animated in his talks dancing about the stage to the entertainment of the audience.

The day concluded with a packed autograph session. The guests received so many gifts from their fans, which they really enjoyed! The guests and Hub team then went straight from the venue to the airport to fly to Sydney.

Sydney's professional photo and Q&A sessions were just as enjoyable and popular as in Brisbane. Sydney were lucky to get an additional mini-Q&A from John Henson. John is a costumer who brought his great collection of both authentic and recreated costume items from the Twilight and New Moon films. During both days in Brisbane and Sydney, attendees could photograph and try on these recognisable costume items, including Bella's jackets and Dr Carslie's doctor's coat. Some of items had been signed by the actors too. He had a constant queue of attendees all day. John was thrilled that he's going to be the official costume designer for the New Moon parody by the Hillywood Production company. Their Twilight parody was a youtube hit, and have made them very popular on the American convention circuit.

The highlight of the Q&As of the day was Chris, Cameron and Tinsel gatecrashing Charlie's talk by pelting him with little packets of vegemite. He took the interruption with good grace by picking them up and throwing them back but was outnumbered. Hugely entertaining! We also had Chris, Cameron and Tinsel help with our Sydney auction for the Starlight Foundation raising over $4000! What a success!

Sydney's day closed with a packed autograph session but also a special performance by Lee Safar. She was invited to perform at the event as one of her songs was shortlisted for the New Moon album. What a weekend! The actors had a great time and we hope to get them all back again in teh future.
